The LDP team has worked with all the major theme park groups during their careers, including Universal Studios, Disneyland Resort Paris, Warner Bros., SeaWorld Group, Tivoli International, The Tussauds Group (now Merlin Entertainment Group), Six Flags and Parques Reunidos.  LDP has also completed numerous assignments for smaller operators/owners and with a range of investors, developers and public sector entities regarding proposed new theme park projects.

LDP has extensive experience working with existing parks and groups for due diligence relating to acquisitions and improvement strategy, with notable recent examples being SeaWorld Group, the Pleasure Beach Blackpool, Palace Pier Brighton, Liseberg, Särkänniemi in Finland, Port Aventura in Spain, Djurs Sommerland and Farup Sommerland in Denmark and Toverland in the Netherlands.

Liseberg, Sweden

For Sweden’s leading theme park, LDP completed a benchmarking review for the entire business as well as feasibility studies for waterpark, hotel and additional uses over the course of multiple assignments.

Proposed Theme Park, South Africa (IDC)

LDP completed feasibility studies for a proposed destination theme park resort for two separate sites in South Africa on behalf of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).

SeaWorld Operational Review, US (SeaWorld Entertainment Group)

Following the purchase by Blackstone, LDP conducted a review of several US SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks to help identify areas where performance could be enhanced and the appropriate strategies to achieve this.

Pleasure Beach Pricing Strategy, UK (Pleasure Beach)

In 2010 LDP was asked to review performance and prepare pricing strategy for the Pleasure Beach, the UK’s leading family-owned amusement park, in light of changes to its competitive environment and significant enhancements to its own offer. In 2013, LDP completed a further review of pricing and price sensitivity for the Pleasure Beach.

Theme Park Resort, Netherlands (ADD Ventures)

The team completed a detailed mixed-use feasibility study in south Holland for a development comprising a major theme park, hotels, a retail and food & beverage district and a casino.

Swedish Parks Association

Benchmarking review of all the parks in the association and economic impact studies for each theme park, zoo and waterpark within the group to assist in activities such as lobbying and fundraising.

New Park Feasibility, Poland

LDP provided feasibility for a theme park, waterpark and associated hotels, and retail and dining for a planned new park in Poland. We also provided operator and IP search services.
