Attraction Audit
LDP’s Attraction Audit provides a review of market, economic and operating performance for existing visitor attractions.
This low cost service allows owners and operators of even modest attractions to get strategic insight normally only available to the largest groups. Areas included:
• performance relative to local, national and international benchmarks;
• prospects for growth;
• areas where economies should be realised;
• areas ripe for improvement in their offer; and
• operational issues and fixes.
The Attractions Audit is a service led by the Principal’s of LDP and their partner, John Collins. John is amongst the industry’s most accomplished and respected visitor attractions operators. John operated his own amusement park and other attractions and FECs. He spent many years as a member of a small team advising the Tussauds Group on all aspects of the development and operation of their theme park business. John has also been instrumental in the creation and operation of FECs linked with major retail schemes.
The structured service has been designed to allow real insight into the business in a short time frame. The audit begins with a visit to the site by at least one of LDP’s Directors and John. This includes a thorough tour and review of the attraction and interviews with senior management to understand the current situation, performance and goals.
This is followed by internal benchmarking analysis and a review of the offer, performance and operational aspects summarised in a short report, including recommendations in all the areas outlined above. This provides feedback as to any gap between potential and actual performance and clear recommendations for achieving this potential.
If required, the service can include a more detailed review of the offer, concept, entertainment content and marketing materials with further input from one of our design partners.
