Yael is a founding partner of Leisure Development Partners (LDP). With nearly 20 years of experience conducting market and financial assessments of projects throughout the US, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. She applies global knowledge and passion for the industry to every local market situation
During her years consulting in the industry Yael has completed projects in over 60 countries, throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia. Prior to founding LDP Yael was a Director at ERA based in London, Los Angeles, and Washington DC, spanning 9 years with the firm.
Yael Coifman brings both entertainment/tourism experience and international business experience to assignments worldwide. Based in London, she conducts studies on innovative leisure real estate projects that incorporate entertainment, retail and attraction elements into resorts and tourism destinations. She provides qualitative and quantitative analysis regarding entertainment concepts and content, strategic development and financial feasibility.
Yael’s experience is extremely strong with both the private and the public sectors and covers mixed use, visitor attractions from theme parks through to museums, sports and entertainment facilities and resorts. Over the years, clients have ranged from theme park clients such as Six Flags, Universal Studios, Tussaud’s Group, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and Parques Reunidos to developers such as DuProcom, Qatari Diar, British Land and Stanhope plc. to investment groups such as 3i and Advent International, amongst others. Her extensive cultural sector project experience has ranged from the Spy Museum in DC to St Pauls Cathedral, from the Rose centre Planetarium to the Giants Causeway. She has worked on leading experiences such as the large scale EarthQuest Resort and Theme park in Texas to the unique KidZania concept in numerous locations.
In addition to feasibility work and performance assessments for theme parks and attractions, Yael has extensive experience in the event venue sector, having done numerous sport/event venue assessments as well as the legacy usage for the London Olympic games. Yael has been called upon to provide expert witness testimony on several occasions during the planning enquiry of a major arena and relishes the chance to utilise her industry knowledge and experience. She also has extensive experience looking at the potential for corporate visitor centres. Past clients have included, General Motors, Miller Brewing, Ben & Jerry’s, Mattel, Boeing and others.
With her extensive international experience, Yael has worked on 6 of the 7 continents during her career and enjoys applying global knowledge to a local market context.
